Food Delivery Driver Description

A truck driver for a 20-foot box truck that safely transports and delivers goods locally. The job requires a valid regular driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to lift heavy boxes up to 50 pounds. Daily tasks include loading cargo, planning routes, and performing basic vehicle safety checks.

Job Requirements

     Retains a current valid & clean driver s license.

     Familiarity of local traffic patterns, routes, and local roads in Sarasota / Manatee County

     Successful completion of a background check and a pre-employment drug screening

     Able to lift items up to 50 pounds with no assistance.

     Requires strong written and reading English skills.

Job Duties

     Proficient in safely operating 20-foot refrigerated box truck across dense urban environments and high-speed interstate highway systems.

     Load and unload 25-50 lbs. boxes using hand truck or ramp!

     Meticulously reviewed product invoices to verify order accuracy, and product specifications to guarantee 100% accuracy in product fulfillment and client delivery details.

     Perform fundamental arithmetic for daily tasks!

     Communicate with all customers in a polite and helpful manner!

     Verify that all invoices are reviewed, accepted, and signed at delivery, and collect payments as needed.

     Maintain personal hygiene!

     Maintain clean truck and fuel at the end of route.
